Teach Program
Spain
Program Length: Up to 6 months
About This Program
Sharing the gift of a new language is rewarding for both teacher and student. But our Teach English paid internship in beautiful Spain also offers the opportunity to live as a true local in one of the world’s most beautiful countries, among some of the friendliest, most welcoming people on the planet.
If you’re working on your undergraduate degree, or are a recent graduate student looking for an exciting work experience abroad, this internship is perfect for you. You’ll be working mainly with children at primary-level schools or private academies that are based in Zaragoza, Ávila, La Coruña, Córdoba and other small-to-medium communities. Each community is unique, and alive with its own culture and personality, often boasting thousands of years of history and tradition which make them some of the world’s true gems.
By working with Spanish-speaking children in a teaching environment, you’ll have every opportunity to help them reach their potential. And the full extent of this internship—from work experience to life experience—will help you reach yours.
What will I be doing?
You’ll assist teachers, work with students in all aspects of learning English and even share some of the culture that is part of the English language.
This program is uniquely designed as an internship, not a job, therefore you will need to be enrolled in an official educational program (university, school, Master’s program or similar) which allows you to participate in an internship as part of your studies. In addition, qualifying students will need the approval of the academic institution to validate the internship as part of their professional program.
- Average of 30+ hours/week
- Enrollment in an educational institution who can sign a training agreement valid for internship positions or recent graduate students within the last 18 months
- English level is comparable to a native standard
- Any previous teaching experience is a plus
- Selene Sánchez (Colombia)This has been the best 6 months of my life! I worked at a really good restaurant in Madrid and learned so much. Nowadays, Spain is the number one country in gastronomy and I learned and enjoyed a lot this experience. Also, I was able to travel to Barcelona, Mallorca, and Ibiza.
