1989
Alliance Abroad is founded by Victoria Lynden in Boulder, Colorado, USA.
1999
Alliance Abroad holds it’s first job fair.
2002
Begin offering Summer Work Travel placements to international students following J-1 Sponsor designation by the US Department of State.
2009
Begin offering Intern and Trainee placements, and Teacher Exchange opportunities following designation by the US Department of State.
2011
James Bell joins Alliance Abroad as President.
2014
Opened Alliance Abroad Australia with office in Queensland.
2015
Acquired GeoVisions.
2019
Acquired YoWork (Spain) and opened office in Cape Town, South Africa.
2021
Alliance Strategies formed – Opened new office in Galway, Ireland. Begin offering Camp Counselor placements following designation by the US Department of State.
2022
Opened Alliance Abroad Central Europe with office in Poland.
2023
Opened new Middle East office in Dubai.
