About This Program
Across the U.S., children, and teenagers of all ages head to summer camp to experience cabin life, new activities, fun, adventures, meet new friends, and take a break from screens. Camps need qualified, friendly, caring staff members to support their campers, facilitate activities, and ensure a positive, safe experience for all.
That’s where you come in!
The Camp Crew Experience would last a maximum of 9 weeks, typically during the American summer months of May-August.

What This Program Includes
Guaranteed Placement
A 4-month* full-time placement in one of our amazing summer camps across the USA.
*Maximum length (usually 8-10 weeks)
Compensation
Guaranteed allowance - minimum 1,650 USD When you participate in the program, you will receive an allowance, which can offset the costs of the program as well as support your travel adventures afterwards
Housing and Meals
Housing and. Meals are provided by Host Camp.
International Requirements Guidance
We work with you in advance to prepare you for your adventure and provide you with an orientation about what to expect.
Sponsorship and J-1 Visa support
All necessary documentation and professional guidance so you can apply and receive a J-1 Visa to the United States.

Medical Insurance Coverage
Medical insurance coverage for the duration of your program
Eligibility:
You may be eligible to participate in this program if:
You are at least 18 years of age.
You are a teacher, youth worker, student, someone with special skills that are needed at camp (i.e. sports, ropes course, boat driving, etc.)
The Process
STEP 1
Complete sponsor interview and review of eligibility
STEP 2
Select from available host camp placements; participate in host camp interview
STEP 3
If hired, submit full application and program fee
STEP 4
Take Alliance Abroad Visa paperwork to the U.S. Embassy for your scheduled J-1 camp counselor visa appointment
STEP 5
if your visa is received, start planning for an unforgettable summer!
