Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be available to attend the in-person fair in Cape Town on May 16th.
  • You must be available to travel to the USA and start the program in August 2025.
  • You must currently be enrolled, full-time, in a hospitality or culinary degree program at a college or university outside the U.S., or have you graduated from one within the past 12 months.
  • OR, have a degree in hospitality or culinary arts, plus at least one year of work experience in the hospitality or culinary field.
  • OR, have a minimum of five years of relevant work experience in a hospitality or culinary role.
  •  You must have a high standard of spoken English.

Fees & Payment Options

Standard Fees -
Paid Prior to Program Start Date

1st payment:
$100 USD - application fee (non-refundable), payable upon registering for the Cape Town fair.

2nd payment:
$4150 USD – program fee, due after employer acceptance and job offer signing, plus $185 USD Visa fee and $220 USD SEVIS fee

Payment Plan Fees

1st payment:
$100 USD application fee (non-refundable), payable upon registering for the Cape Town event.

2nd payment:
$400 USD initial program fee instalment, due after job offer acceptance, plus $185 USD visa fee and $220 USD SEVIS fee.

3rd payment while on program in the USA:
$4,000 USD remaining program fee, payable in 10 monthly instalments of $400 USD while on program in the USA

Application Process

Step 1 – Submit Your Application
Our team will review your eligibility and then reach out to answer your questions. If the positions match your interests and experience, you will be invited to pay the application fee and attend the Recruitment Fair in Cape Town on May 16th.

Step 2 – Meet the Employers
At the fair you’ll participate in an interview with the host company, and if you are applying for the culinary roles, take part in a culinary skills test. 

Step 3 – Complete Your Application
If you’re hired—congratulations! Next, you’ll need to submit supporting documents and pay the remainder of the program fee.

Step 4 – Schedule Your Visa Appointment
We issue you with your DS-2019 form and your Training/Internship Placement Plan (T/IPP) which you bring with you to your scheduled J-1 visa appointment at the U.S. Embassy. This is an important step, and we’re here to guide you!

Step 5 – Start Planning Your Arrival
Once your visa is approved, it’s time to book your flight and prepare for your journey. We’ll provide pre-departure orientation to ensure you have a smooth and unforgettable experience!
