A college friend of mine visited me all the way from Wisconsin, so I took her to In ‘n Out so we could try it together for the first time. I am grateful for this opportunity to participate in this program for letting me try different things, meet old and new friends, and experience not just the American culture but also the diverse culture of people in America.

Maria’s Story
It was my first birthday celebration here in the US! I am blessed to have good colleagues who are now my friends. They surprised me with flowers, balloons, gifts, and donuts. In return, I brought them Filipino food like “pansit” and “lumpia.” I’m glad that they liked them, and now, they are already looking forward to my next birthday. I may be far away from home but these gals just made home closer.
