It was my first birthday celebration here in the US! I am blessed to have good colleagues who are now my friends. They surprised me with flowers, balloons, gifts, and donuts. In return, I brought them Filipino food like “pansit” and “lumpia.” I’m glad that they liked them, and now, they are already looking forward to my next birthday. I may be far away from home but these gals just made home closer.

I’ve been here for 3 months now and so far my experience has been superb – from my first Halloween to my first Thanksgiving! Any my first White Christmas is upcoming.
